Welcome to The Sandpiper Lounge.
Our story began in 1942 when Chip and Chuck's uncle opened the Sandpiper as a fine dining establishment. While they managed to operate until the late 1950s tragedy struck the family forcing their uncle to sell the Sandpiper but retain ownership of the building. In 1959, Chip and Chuck’s mother, Jeana, stepped in to manage the property and took up residence with her two boys upstairs. It was a challenging time, but they persevered and survived through odd jobs and the support of organizations like The Boys Club. In 1969, with their military service behind them, Chuck and Chip seized an opportunity when the bar became available for sale. With their mother's determination and hard work, the Sandpiper became a cherished family business.
Today, The Sandpiper Lounge stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to preserving our roots while embracing the times. Live music has been an integral part of our establishment since Chip and Chuck took over, and we continue to offer a diverse range of performances seven days a week. We pride ourselves on keeping the atmosphere old school, with a mix of classic rock-n-roll and timeless hits to cater to our diverse clientele.
